In 2014, when I was a junior, my high school, Abingdon Middle High School consolidated with an even smaller school a few towns over and we became Abingdon-Avon High School. The community was going through an identity crisis coming to terms with the idea that they would have to change the mascot, and colors of the high school that had been established for half a century. I had the privilege of designing a lot of the first t-shirts for our new image, the Abingdon-Avon Tornadoes.
Homecoming 2014
The first Abingdon-Avon t-shirt designed for the 2014 homecoming celebrations.
During my senior year in 2015 our homecoming theme was heroes vs villains, us seniors being the villains. That year I got to design the senior shirts that would be sold and worn by the entire 2015 class.
Lots of fun celebrations and traditions are performed during homecoming week and I designed the ‘Powerpuff Girls’ themed tshirts for our Powderpuff Football game where the female seniors played against the email juniors.
