8 of Cups
When the Eight of Cups shows up in a Tarot reading, you may feel compelled to walk away from a disappointing situation. It could mean turning your back on an unfulfilling relationship, job, career path, living arrangement or creative project that was once a source of great happiness to you but now only brings you pain.
I had always admired the skill of Tarot reading and how each deck is unique. When I seen that my acquaintance Ruby was organizing this project I had to send in an application!
Even so I wasn’t really as familiar with the lore of Tarot and when give the option to pick a card to illustrate I decided to let the organizers randomly assign me a card.
So I was given the 8 of Cups. Honestly, a card I had never heard of before. Upon reading about the meaning of the card I thought that receiving this card was rather serendipitous. At the time I was rather lost and looking to make changes in my life.
